TESTIMONIALS
Terry Stewart, former CEO, Marvel Ent.; former CEO, Cleveland Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; CEO MAD
"Bob Tarren is a savvy marketing professional who is also a real joy to work with. Having a small staff, he was forced to wear a closet full of different hat. He has an uncanny ability to manage multiple external relationships. Bob’s skill set covers all fronts, be it traditional media buying, social media, the newest digital tools, PR, or just his cogent writing ability. All in all, my best compliment is twofold: first, I would love to work with him again, and, second, anyone who is fortunate to have him on their team is already ahead of the game and poised to win. ”

Disruptive, intuitive, get-it-done attitude. That’s how I’d describe Bob Tarren. I met him when I was speaking at a conference and soon we were having sushi and I was advising him on his life. Later, Bob became a client of my firm, Paramore Digital as he took all he’d learned in corporate marketing and museum marketing and applied it to a start-up in Arkansas. That start-up, MAD (Murphy Art District) was a mad success because of Bob’s aggressive, but loving and fair way of creating partnerships and building teams. He’s a #2 or #1 non-owner with an owner’s mindset, which is a rare find. Do I recommend him? Yes, for anything that is complex, that others step away from, that you really want done.

“I worked with Bob Tarren on a number of major exhibitions at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts after the re-opening of the museum in 2009. From 2012-2014 Bob reported to me directly in my role as Deputy Director for Art and Education. Not only did Bob mastermind the incredibly successful "It's Your Art'' campaign at the re-opening of the museum, but was directly responsible for the marketing campaigns for some of the most successful exhibitions in the museum's history, including Picasso, Mummy, Chihuly, Hollywood Costume and Forbidden City. The current success of VMFA owes a lot to the skillsets he brought.”
“You’ll read in other recommendations that Bob Tarren is a terrific creative thinker, a savvy media strategist, or a goal-oriented disciplined marketing innovator. All true. All very important. But, working with Bob on a highly complicated project, I saw something else. I saw Bob Tarren mold a highly talented group, each with wildly different ideas and egos, and lead it to an extremely successful conclusion. With very little bloodshed. He’s a guy you want, if you want a tough job done right.”
“Bob Tarren is a great brand manager with the amazing ability to creatively approach advertising and marketing challenges. I could always depend on him to incorporate fact-based decision making into marketing plans. He is very adept at bridging market research and other marketing disciplines. Bob would be a true asset to any team.”
“I would highly recommend Bob Tarren for a marketing job/assignment. Bob worked for the Murphy Arts District and, in essence, “put us on the map.” We were an unknown entertainment start-up in a rural location, and he got our name very widespread. He is creative, intense, focused and very results oriented. You will not be disappointed.”
“Bob is a strategic thinker with strong conceptual capabilities. His capacity for workload is supurb and he is tenacious in follow-up and always completes the task. Bob is easy to work with, takes direction and suggestions well, but will “stick to his guns” and say “no” when he knows he’s right. I would highly recommend Bob to any firm that is looking for an experienced, strategic and creative thinker who knows how to realistically manage to a budget.”
“During my largest project with Bob, he displayed the sought after ability to bring varied groups of people together to accomplish a difficult goal. After several years of my unsuccessfully attempting to breakt hrough internal politics, Bob tore down the walls. The final result was a promotion that resulted in angry phone calls from his company’s main competitor. That is the sign of a job well done. I highly recommend Bob for his creativity, people skills, organizational skills and perseverance.”
“An outstanding guy—personally and professionally. Bob was a tremendous asset to my company—not only in handling difficult accounts, but in generating big ideas (the kind that not only win an ad agency new business, but generate sales for the account). Rainmaking comes naturally for him. People gravitate to Bob because they like him, believe him, and know that he will serve both the agency, and the client, well. Bob is both creatively, and strategically, gifted—as an agency owner, I couldn’t have asked for a better teammate.”
“I worked with Bob on an innovation project at CC. He is a very creative, strategic thinker who sees the big picture and can get the job done! Bob leveraged his deep understanding of consumers’ behavior to create terrific new business ideas. He also proved to be skilled at reading the room, and acting accordingly.”
“Bob and I worked on projects together that encompassed the integration of mass marketing with customer targeting. He demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the role that customer behavior plays in developing marketing programs, and used this info to create innovative and effective marketing programs, especially through the use of emerging media. A very creative and visionary thinker, combined with practical and pragmatic achiever.”
“I worked with Bob Tarren on several marketing initiatives at Circuit City on behalf of SanDisk. Bob was an excellent partner to work with, always seeking the win-win.
